Launch

After reading countless music magazines, online publications and numerous blogs, I've decided to start one of my own -- The Blinking Yellow Light. I'm a journalism student and I edit and write for the Opinion Section of my university newspaper (The Advance-Titan) and I started this blog as a way to write more about that which interests me, and that is -- as anyone who has ever met me can attest -- music.

The Blinking Yellow Light is a blog about the music industry and rock and roll. Rock and roll is not dead, it is alive and free. The opportunities and freedom's of the internet have changed this definition and rock was pushed to the brink of extinction, but has rallied back in 2007 and is once again a cultural force to be reckoned with.

This blog will feature links, music news, chart breakdowns, reviews and columns regarding the music industry and rock and roll on a regular basis. The details of this are yet to be determined.

The Blinking Yellow Light will be up and running very soon, possibly even as soon as next Monday. Stay tuned.
